Website intake · Small business
Let’s build your site.
A shop, a café, a studio, a trade, a practice, a workshop — whatever you run, this is everything I need to build its website. Eight short sections, about 15 minutes. It saves as you go, so you can stop and come back on this same device.
Have these handy
Skip anything you’re unsure about. Only four things are required: your name, email, phone, and the business name.
Business details
Address, hours and phone as you want them published, plus anything your customers look for before they call — a menu, a price list, a booking link.
Photos
A photo of you, a few shots of the space or your work, and your logo. Phone camera roll is fine.
Your story
Nothing to prepare — answer the way you’d talk to a customer over coffee. I’ll do the polishing.
Step 1 of 8
You
Who you are and how to reach you. The business gets its own step next.
You
How customers reach you
These go on the site exactly as typed — double-check them.
Step 2 of 8
Your business
What it is and what kind of business it is. The type you pick asks a few questions specific to your line of work and suggests goals for the next step — all of it editable.
The basics
Where and who
Leave anything blank that doesn’t apply — plenty of great businesses are one person and a van.
Step 3 of 8
What should the site actually do for you?
Check everything that applies. Your business type suggested a few — keep or change them. Each one you check asks two or three quick follow-ups, and together they decide which pages the site needs.
Step 4 of 8
Online now
Where you already live online. I’ll link to the good stuff and make sure the new site plays well with it.
Website & domain
Social & listings
Paste links or handles — whichever is easier. Skip what you don’t use.
Step 5 of 8
Your story
This is the part that makes the site yours instead of a template. Talk, don’t write — bullet points and run-on sentences are fine. Voice-to-text on your phone works great here.
What you offer
Why you
Who you’re for
Proof and personality
Step 6 of 8
Look & feel
Point me in a direction. Nothing here is final — it’s a conversation starter, and I’ll bring options.
Colors
Tell me where you’re starting from, then pick a palette or build one from a single color. The preview updates as you go, and I’ll flag anything that won’t read well. Nothing here is final.
Drag around the wheel for hue and intensity; the slider sets light vs. dark. Already know your brand hex? Type it in the box. Once you set a main color, matching palettes appear below.
The real thing, from people who care about it.
Straight answers, a clear process, and a result you’ll be glad you came in for.
Start a conversationStyle
Sites you like
In your industry or not — a restaurant, a brand, a competitor. What you like about it matters more than the link.
Step 7 of 8
Proof
Reviews, numbers, awards, press. Real specifics beat vague superlatives every time.
Reviews & testimonials
Paste the best two to six. First name and town is plenty (“Megan, Farragut”).
By the numbers
Only what you’re comfortable publishing. Rough is fine.
Step 8 of 8
Photos & logistics
Drop in what you have. Photos are most of what people see, so even a few from your phone help. They’re resized for the web as they upload, so big files are fine. Or skip the upload and email them to hello@staceykilgore.com — just mention your name.
Need to send full-resolution originals, a big batch, or a video? Use WeTransfer to the same address. Only upload photos you have the right to use (your own work, your photographer’s with permission, your company’s assets).
Logistics
Almost done
Review & send
Skim it once. Anything you skipped, you can tell me later — this isn’t a test.
Sending puts this straight into my build queue. You’ll get a confirmation on screen, and I’ll follow up within a business day with first questions and a timeline.
Received
Got it. Thank you.
Everything landed on my end, photos included. I’ll read through it properly and come back with first questions and a plan.
What happens next
I read it, twice
Your answers become the sitemap, the copy brief and the design direction.
First look
You get a home page concept to react to — not a finished site, a direction. We adjust from there.
Build & launch
Pages, photos, SEO, the technical plumbing. You review, we launch, I keep it running.
